Xolos Femenil Secures First Victory of the Season Against Necaxa
Tijuana, B.C. — Club Tijuana Femenil earned its first win of the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Necaxa at home, in a hard-fought match where the border team dominated most of the action and finally broke the deadlock in the second half.
A first half full of chances but no goals
From the opening whistle, Xolos showed more determination going forward. They created multiple corner kicks and opportunities, with Kali Trevithick and Danielle Fuentes pushing for the breakthrough, but Necaxa’s goalkeeper responded with solid saves. The first half ended 0-0, though the hosts looked closer to scoring.
The decisive goal
The breakthrough came in the 56th minute, when Kader Hançar calmly finished inside the box to score the only goal of the game. The strike released the pressure at Estadio Caliente, where the home side had been persistently attacking since the start.
A tense closing stretch
Necaxa tried to respond in the final minutes, but their attacks were well contained by the Xolos defense. The visiting side collected yellow cards and fouls as they attempted to press forward, yet they failed to truly threaten the Tijuana goalkeeper. The referee’s final whistle confirmed a much-needed 1-0 win.
A victory with emotional impact
With this result, Club Tijuana Femenil breaks their winless streak and secures three crucial points, boosting morale for the rest of the season. The fans celebrated the team’s first victory, hoping it marks the beginning of a stronger run in the competition.
