Club Tijuana Femenil was unable to secure points in their visit to Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, falling 2-0 to Club América Femenil in Matchday 2 of the Apertura 2025 in Liga MX Femenil.

The home side struck early. Just 3 minutes in, María Saldívar opened the scoring after a well-orchestrated play down the right flank, assisted by Kiana Palacios and Karen Luna.

Xolas tried to respond through Renae Cuéllar and Paola Villamizar, but lacked the finishing touch in the final third.

Before halftime, at the 42nd minute, Aylin Antonio doubled the lead with a clean finish off a corner kick, sealing the 2-0 scoreline that would stand until the final whistle.

Tijuana will now turn their attention to their first home match of the season this Thursday, July 24, when they welcome Toluca Femenil to Estadio Caliente.
