The Amazonas roar and move one step closer to another title
Tigres Femenil did it again. On an intense night at the Estadio Universitario, the team coached by Pedro Martinez earned a 2–1 victory over Cruz Azul Femenil, sealing a 3–2 aggregate win and punching their ticket to yet another Liga MX Femenil Final.
From the opening minutes, Tigres displayed their trademark postseason dominance. In the 16th minute, VAR confirmed a foul inside the box, and Jennifer Hermoso calmly converted the penalty to make it 1–0. Tigres continued to attack throughout the first half, with constant pressure from María Sánchez and Barby Olivieri, though the visiting goalkeeper prevented a bigger lead before halftime.
Diana Ordóñez delivers in the decisive moment
In the second half, Tigres maintained control of the match. At the 64th minute, Diana Ordóñez rose inside the box to head home the 2–0, igniting celebrations across the stadium.
Cruz Azul tried to fight back, but the red card shown to Solange Lemos at the 54th minute made their comeback attempt even more difficult. Despite playing with one less, the visitors found a late goal through a penalty converted by Deneisha Blackwood in the 87th minute, setting the final score at 2–1.
