San Diego Wave unveils 2026 kit at Balboa Park

A launch rooted in local identity

San Diego, CA – February 26. San Diego Wave officially unveiled its new 2026 season kit at the iconic Balboa Park.

The park, one of the most significant cultural and recreational spaces in the United States, represents the essence of San Diego. Spanning more than 1,200 acres and home to museums, gardens, theaters, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park stands as a symbol of history, diversity, and community.

The club chose this location not only for its architectural beauty but also for its deep cultural connection to the city.

A design with meaning

Designed in collaboration with Nike, the bespoke kit draws inspiration from the park’s historic architecture and vibrant tilework.

The sleeve cuffs and collar feature bright shades of pink, orange, and blue, along with patterns inspired by Balboa Park’s mosaics, transforming architectural detail into wearable design.

The result is a jersey that is elegant, culturally significant, and reflective of San Diego’s energy.

A community-centered celebration

The unveiling event included sponsor activations and a special exhibit showcasing championships and memorable moments in club history.

Fans had the opportunity to enjoy a photo booth and interact with players who appeared throughout the day, including Kenza Dali, Nya Harrison, Kiki Pickett, Lia Godfrey, Ludmila, and Trinity Armstrong.

The event also featured SD Sirens, the club’s official supporters group, known for traveling to away matches and special events, including the recent Coachella Invitational.

With this unveiling, San Diego Wave reinforces its connection to the city and its cultural identity as it prepares for the 2026 NWSL season.

The team will open its campaign on March 14 at Snapdragon Stadium against the Houston Dash, beginning a new chapter wearing a jersey that represents pride, history, and community.
