San Diego Wave and Seattle Reign Share the Points in Intense 0-0 Draw

San Diego, CA — San Diego Wave and Seattle Reign battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw in a game filled with intensity, saves, and plenty of goal attempts, but neither side was able to find the back of the net.

A First Half of Constant Pressure

The match started with both teams pushing forward aggressively. Seattle generated early danger with shots from Jordyn Huitema and Marina Curry, but goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan was solid for the Wave, denying multiple chances and keeping her side in the game.

On the other side, San Diego responded with shots from Kenza Dali and D. Cascarino, though Reign’s defense and keeper Claudia Dickey prevented the scoreboard from moving. By halftime, the score remained locked at 0-0 despite the high pace of play.

Wave Opportunities but No Finish

In the second half, the Wave increased their offensive rhythm with constant threats from Maitane Barcenas, Megan Robbe, and T. Armstrong. Corners from Savannah McCaskill also provided dangerous situations, but none were capitalized.

Seattle, for their part, kept creating danger through S. Meza and Huitema, though Sheridan once again rose to the occasion with key interventions.

A Draw with Mixed Feelings

Despite controlling large stretches of the game and generating multiple shots on target, San Diego Wave couldn’t break the deadlock and had to settle for a point at home. Seattle Reign leaves satisfied with the draw, thanks to their defensive solidity and the strong performance of Dickey in goal.
