Professional Tennis Returns to San Diego

The 2026 San Diego Open is already generating excitement after tournament organizers officially announced that tickets are now on sale for the event, which will take place from Monday, January 26 through Sunday, February 1 at the Barnes Tennis Center, one of Southern California’s most iconic tennis venues.

The tournament will stand out for featuring both men’s and women’s professional competitions, establishing itself as one of the most complete early-season tennis events on the international calendar.

Dual Professional Tournaments With Major Prize Money

The San Diego Open will feature two main competitions:

On the men’s side, the event will host an ATP Challenger 100 tournament with a total prize purse of $177,000, while the women’s competition will consist of an ITF W100 tournament offering $100,000 in prize money.

Both tournaments will award 100 ranking points to the singles and doubles champions, attracting high-level players looking to climb the ATP and WTA rankings.

Affordable Ticket Prices and VIP Options

Tickets are now available, with prices starting at $25 for general admission during the early rounds and reaching $45 for reserved seating during the final weekend.

Fans may also purchase a VIP upgrade, which includes access to an exclusive lounge, complimentary food, and beverages.

  • From Monday, January 26 through Thursday, January 29, the VIP upgrade costs $50 per day.

  • From Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1, the upgrade is priced at $70 per day.

Family-Friendly Access and Youth Benefits

One of the tournament’s highlights is its family-friendly approach. On Monday, January 26, opening day featuring qualifying matches, admission will be free for all fans.

In addition, children and youth ages 17 and under will receive free general admission access from Tuesday, January 27 through Saturday, January 31, when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Match Schedules and an Intimate Fan Experience

Matches will begin at 10:00 a.m. from Monday through Thursday, and at 12:00 p.m. from Friday through Sunday. Gates at Barnes Tennis Center will open one hour before the first match each day.

The venue will feature a main stadium with approximately 700 seats, providing fans with an intimate and up-close experience of professional tennis, along with matches played across six additional courts throughout the facility.

A Must-Attend Event for Tennis Fans

With a mix of elite-level tennis, affordable pricing, family-friendly initiatives, and a top-tier venue, the 2026 San Diego Open is shaping up to be one of the region’s most attractive sporting events early in the year.

Tournament officials encourage fans to secure their tickets early, as limited seating in the main stadium could lead to quick sellouts.
