Monterrey, Nuevo León — July 25, 2025. Rayadas de Monterrey delivered a dominant performance, defeating Querétaro Femenil 4-2 on Matchday 3 of the Apertura 2025 Liga MX Femenil season. A commanding first-half display secured their second win of the campaign.

🔥 A Dream First Half

Head coach América González’s squad came out firing. Just three minutes in, Alice Soto opened the scoring with a brilliant direct free kick. At the 19-minute mark, Christina Burkenroad doubled the lead with a composed finish inside the box, and struck again in the 41st minute for her brace.

Before the halftime whistle, Emily Gielnik added the fourth goal from the penalty spot (45’+1) after a clear foul in the box, putting Rayadas comfortably ahead 4-0.

⚠️ Querétaro Tries to Respond

In the second half, Monterrey eased the pressure, allowing Querétaro to find space. Alexa Herrera pulled one back with a stunning free kick in the 73rd minute, and Emily Flores added a second for the visitors in the 88th after a well-worked move.

Despite their late efforts, Gallos couldn’t close the gap further, as Monterrey’s defense and key saves preserved the lead.

Rayadas made several substitutions in the second half to maintain control of the midfield and tempo. Notable contributions came from Katty Martínez, Dania Pérez, and Alejandra Calderón, who helped solidify the team’s rhythm until the final whistle.
