Club Tijuana Femenil suffered a tough defeat in their final match of the season, falling 1–6 to Pachuca Femenil at Estadio Caliente. With this result, the Tuzas locked in second place in the overall standings, sealing their spot in the Apertura 2025 playoffs, where they will face Cruz Azul Femenil in the quarterfinals.
Juan Romo’s side started the game with energy and even took the lead thanks to a goal by Roselord Borgella in the 13th minute. However, Pachuca quickly responded and completely took control of the match, led by the attacking trio of Myra Delgadillo, Nina Nicosia, and Claudia Ibarra, who dismantled the Tijuana defense with clinical precision.
A bitter ending for Xolas
The border team was unable to withstand Pachuca’s relentless attack, as the Tuzas punished every defensive lapse. Despite a few good saves from Tijuana’s goalkeeper, the visitors were simply superior in every aspect, sealing the match with a resounding 6–1 victory.
With this result, Xolas Femenil finishes the tournament outside the playoff zone, raising many questions about the direction of the team moving forward. During the post-match press conference, head coach Juan Romo admitted uncertainty about his future
