The scoreboard opened in the 24th minute when Kiana Palacios capitalized on a defensive lapse to net the opener with a sharp finish. Before halftime, in the 42nd minute, Irene Guerrero doubled the lead with a well-taken penalty that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
