Tijuana, Baja California – July 25, 2025. In a tightly contested border clash, Club Tijuana and FC Juárez ended level at 1-1 in Matchday 3 of the Apertura 2025 season at Estadio Caliente. The game was marked by physicality, midfield battles, and flashes of brilliance—especially from Xolos' young star, Gilberto Mora.

🔁 Gritty First Half Ends Goalless

From the opening whistle, both sides competed fiercely for midfield control, but clear chances were scarce. The most controversial moment of the first half came when Adonis Preciado went down in the box under contact. Despite Tijuana's protests, the referee waved play on, ruling no foul.

The teams went into halftime locked in a goalless stalemate.

🌟 Gilberto Mora Shines Again

Tijuana came out of the locker room with renewed energy and purpose. In the 52nd minute, it was once again Gilberto Mora who made the difference. The young winger delivered a sharp cross from the left aimed at Shamar Nicholson, but a Bravos defender, in an attempt to clear the ball, accidentally deflected it into his own net.

The own goal put Xolos ahead 1-0, and the home side looked in control as they pushed for a second goal.

⚠ JuĂĄrez Responds Late

Despite Tijuana’s momentum, Juárez found an equalizer in the 82nd minute through Ángel Saldívar, who capitalized on a defensive lapse to level the match.

Tijuana pressed hard in the closing minutes, launching several attacks in search of a winner, but the final whistle blew with the score still tied.
